The Illinois Department of Public Health requires that Activity Directors take the 36 hour basic Activity Directors course. In addition, each Activity Professional must complete 10 hours of continuing education annually.
Continuing education is a vital necessity in every professional organization. There are many excellent courses held at various locations throughout the state.
IAPA-sponsored workshops and seminars are planned according to the needs and interests expressed by members. Sessions are held in different areas of Illinois, often where there are few continuing education opportunities.
IAPA does not sponsor or lead any of the 36 hour courses. This listing is provided as a convenience to our members.
